COVID Event Protocol

Motley Fam,

We know you’ve heard it all about the delta variant, rising case numbers, and all the other lousy COVID-19 news lately. We’re sure you heard, too, that the State of Nevada has authorized large events to determine whether to require all attendees to be full vaccinated/have negative tests.

After weighting costs and benefits with the health department and State, and wanting this to be a true Motley event, we’re following suit with other large festivals to authorize only fully vaccinated individuals or those who provide a negative COVID-19 test to attend Downtown Brew Festival this year. Before some of you non-Motley folk spew hate, we assure you, this has nothing to do with any type of political movement and we’re taking all guidelines of local health authorities only, nothing more.  With protocols within the State of Nevada being what they are and this being a tasting event under health department policy, this keeps everyone at the event as much out of harm’s way as possible.  We want everyone to come in and have a blast, without having worries about safety kicking around the back of their mind.

In the meantime, here’s what you need to know:

How will I show my proof of vaccination?

To keep it simple and easy, will accept your paper vaccination card or negative test as proof and check at the door.

If you want to go digital, Nevada and California residents can get a QR code free and easy through the state. Nevada at izrecord.nv.gov and Californians at myvaccinerecord.cdph.ca.gov. 11 other states provide digital records through government sites in Hawaii, New York and Colorado — with the rest using MyirmobileAnd if your state isn’t listed here, we’ll accept digital records from CVS or Healthvana if your state participates.

What if I’m getting tested instead?

Cool beans. All we ask is that you get tested on or after Oct. 13. That’s a 72-hour window for testing. Test results from an earlier date than Oct 13th will not be accepted. Here’s a list of testing sites. Testing is free, so please provide proof digitally or on paper when you come to the door.

When and where do I show my negative test result or proof of vaccination?

Before you enter the fest there will be a separate area at the front gate to show staff your proof of vaccination or negative test. We’ll be updating everyone on the specifics closer to the event, so please keep checking downtownbrewfestival.com/covid for the most recent details. Our goal as always is to get everyone in quickly and safely, so we’ll do both when it comes to setting up our front entrance.

What happens if my test comes back positive?

We know how trying these times are. Hopefully, things stay mild for you, but this is one thing you shouldn’t have to sweat with so much else going on. Drop us a line at info@productiontheory.com with your ticket confirmation number and positive test result, and we’ll make sure we carry your tickets to another Motley event in the future with a credit or a refund.

I don’t want to get a vaccine or show proof of vaccination. WHAT NOW?

Again, we want you to come, have a great time, and ensure your safety and the safety of others while you do. That’s why we want everyone at the fest to either be vaccinated, or to have tested negative. We will not be offering blanket refunds to those who choose neither option. If you have extenuating circumstances, please reach out to us at info@motleybrews.com
