Thank You for 15 Amazing Years!

First off, thank you to everyone who came out and supported Great Vegas this year. Between the heat and the unexpected need to change the venue after tickets sales started, we’re incredibly grateful for your support.

As for the rest of this message, this one’s a little different.

For the past 15 years, Motley Brews has been more than just festivals—it’s been a community. A place where friends met, breweries found their voice, and thousands of you showed up year after year to support something we built together from scratch.

From the early days (when we were figuring it out as we went, you all remember)  to what the Great Vegas Festival of Beer and Motley Brews has become today… It’s been one hell of a ride.

So I wanted you to hear this directly from me:  I’ve made the decision to sell the Motley Brews Las Vegas festival portfolio to Brothers Molloy Events.

And honestly… I feel really good about it.

If you’ve been to the festivals the last couple years, you’ve already seen Lucas and his team in action. They’ve been running things alongside us, and they care deeply about getting it right—for the breweries, for the city, and  for all of you.

This isn’t an ending—it’s an upgrade.

Lucas and his team already produce successful beer, wine, and culinary festivals across the country, and there’s no one I trust more to carry this event forward.

As part of this transition, DBF will be merged into the Great Vegas Festival of Beer to create one flagship event celebrating the Las Vegas beer scene. In the coming days, the Brothers Molloy team will be reaching out for feedback—please take a few minutes to complete it. Your insight is incredibly valuable and will play a major role in shaping the future of the event. As a thank you, those who complete the survey will be entered to win tickets to next year’s festival.

Motley Brews has always had a bit of a playful spirit—but underneath that, it’s always been about people. And that’s what I’m most proud of, all of us that came together year over year to do something different in Las Vegas.

I’m stepping back from festival operations and Motley Brews to focus on my other company, Production Theory, but I’ll always be cheering this thing on (and probably walking around with a beer in hand like the rest of you from now on).

To everyone who ever bought a ticket, poured a beer, volunteered, partnered, or just showed up—thank you. Truly.

You helped build something that mattered. You helped build the Las Vegas community.  And I can’t wait to see where it goes next with Brothers Molloy Events!  We love you all.
